a lot of fun in the process! Artists at any level are welcome.
The PAPP meets on the first Wednesday of each month, from 10 a.m. until
after lunch, at various locations in the Pagosa area. For more information,

Artist Trading Cards – Develop Your Hidden Creativity
With Just a Small Investment in Time and Equipment
Whether you’re a professional artist, an amateur, or
just looking to expand your creativity, Artist Trading Cards
(ATCs) are a wonderful hobby that’s enjoying worldwide
popularity. The concept can be traced back to portrait miniatures
and to a kind of business card popular with Impressionist-era
artists. Today, modern Artist Trading Cards are tiny (as a
rule, 2.5” x 3.5”) original works of art that people
of all experience levels can exchange with others who produce
them--similar to the way people trade sports cards.
You don’t have to be overwhelmed by a full-sized project.
Have fun exploring your creative side, while sharing unlimited
techniques with others. Join us for a sense of play, dabbling
and a very satisfying artistic process on the third Thursday
of each month. We will meet along with the Watercolor Club,
but from 10:00 A.M. to Noon only. Participants will produce
at least one mixed-media card of their own and one group-produced
trading card.
Themes for our first three sessions are planned according to
the following schedule. We will expand the program as interest
dictates. Bring your own supplies as indicated, but we will
have enough on hand to share as well. Attendees donate $5 per
person towards use of the room. For more information, contact
the Arts Council at 264-5020.
PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB
The Pagosa Springs Photo Club welcomes all interested photography
enthusiasts. Any and all are invited to join. Meetings are
held on the second Wednesday of the month (now through May)
from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Annual dues are $20 for single individuals
and $30 for family membership. For more information, contact
club president Barbara Rosner at info@rosnercreative.com or
970-264-6502.
Denny Rose and Ginnie Bartlett will
teach Beginners I, II and Intermediate Watercolor. These
workshops are for individuals who have always wanted to
try their hand at watercolor and progress to other levels
of instruction. It offers a chance to learn to paint with
others who are sure they have no talent, or who have struggled
to learn on their own with limited success.
Denny Rose and Ginnie Bartlett have been teaching beginner’s workshops
for over 20 years. The partnership works well and each of the two annually
share the magic of watercolor in intensive 2 to 4-day adult workshops that
they have developed for PSAC. Cost varies depending on the class. Call
PSAC 264-5020 for more information.
