More about Pagosa Pretenders Family Theater, a Division of the Pagosa Springs Arts Council.

This division entertains the community with fun filled plays performed by actors of all ages. All shows are "G" rated. Some of their past performances are: Snow White and the Seven Coyotes, Billy Bronco and the Chocolate Taco Factory, The Imaginary History of Pagosa Springs, Peter Pan, The Wizard of OZ, Arabian Nights, 2001: A Space Oddity, Legendary Life of a Local: A Story About Fred Harman and Red Rider.

Pagosa Pretenders Family Theater presents "Sleeping Beauty" based on the play written by Kerry Graves. The performances will be held March 8, 9, 15, & 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Pagosa Springs High School Auditorium. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for children 4-12 years old and children 3 and under are free. Tickets will be sold at the Chamber of Commerce, Sisson Library, Wolftracks Bookstore& Coffee House and the Plaid Pony. Discounted tickets are available for Pagosa Springs Arts Council Members at the Pagosa Springs Arts Council Gallery during regular business hours.

The Pagosa Pretenders strive to entertain through humor, imagination, originality and creativity. Ticket prices are kept low to allow families to attend and proceeds are donated back to the community.

Pagosa Pretenders shows are developed by the director and the cast through research and improvisation during rehearsals. All who audition will be in the play. Families are encouraged to participate in the productions either on stage, backstage or in other volunteer areas.
